I've got "magic numbers" in my head which, when I reach one, will stop me dead in my weight loss tracks. (The last one was 75kg, the next appears to be 72kg (below which I will have a "normal", though high, BMI.) I maintain around these "magic numbers" for a while, and it used to drive me nuts! Well, until I decided to keep on going and not weigh myself for a week (or two). Once the numbers don't mess with my head, it's easier to lose, and the next thing I see (if I do everything the way I should) will be progress.

(I've actually considered weighing myself only once a month and may do that below 70kg, since the weight loss is supposed to slow down even more and I don't want to discourage myself by seeing the same number again and again.)Diandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14570498251611083259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7608758528567925905.post-70041226732754760692011-05-11T00:28:39.807-04:002011-05-11T00:28:39.807-04:00I hit a plateau awhile back. Also incorporated weights into my routine.Thin Lizzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04509608419870668846noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7608758528567925905.post-52969330770117476222011-05-11T00:03:26.681-04:002011-05-11T00:03:26.681-04:00Plateaus are hard! In my opinion it's life. Be gentle with yourself. I think the weight lifting is a really good idea for many reasons. If you are eating the correct amount of calories, or points, based on your basal metobolic rate, plus your workouts, you will lose weight. Just don't get discouraged, just hang in there, you will see the numbers on the scale move again soon.Brendalynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17527215991516465142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7608758528567925905.post-27790409965879657042011-05-10T22:57:52.066-04:002011-05-10T22:57:52.066-04:00I think that the most important thing is not to ge...I think that the most important thing is not to get so discouraged that you throw in the towel. I don't know exactly what your exercise routine is, but i hear interval training is great for weight-loss when it comes to cardio, and circuit training adds a boost to weight training. Don't give up! You'll get through this and be back to losing in no time :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7608758528567925905.post-42177288055175332662011-05-10T21:32:54.443-04:002011-05-10T21:32:54.443-04:00I think I went through this last month, I don'...I think I went through this last month, I don't weigh so I can't be sure but I know my loss stalled and I found it really hard but just kept doing the right things and surely enough it came good. I think patience is the key..if you are eating less than your body needs to maintain and doing CV exercise, the weight will come off.It will.
DawnDawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16149197584864926085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7608758528567925905.post-67011963008995185352011-05-10T19:26:32.009-04:002011-05-10T19:26:32.009-04:00Keep in mind that as you start getting smaller and...Keep in mind that as you start getting smaller and smaller, it will be harder to lose weight as consistently. I know when I get down to about 170 is when I get really frustrating stalls. But, look at the bright side, it's pretty much just physics that if you keep at it, the weight will come off eventually. I know that's probably not what you want to hear :( but don't give up hope! The best advice I could give would be to switch up your exercise and/or your eating. That's usually how I hear people burst out of their plateaus. It really depends on your body adjusting itself and getting used to shedding the weight. Is it close to TOM? I stall for 1-2 weeks before my period comes.

Also, if you consistently have been losing 2 lbs, one week with no loss isn't a plateau! Keep at it and I think your plan for this week sounds perfect!safirehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13087146668110437915noreply@blogger.com
