Sunday Weigh Day

I lost 2.2 lbs this week, bringing me to 205.7.

I've been doing "good" this week. I've had a lot of fruits and veggies and lean protein. The only indulgence type thing I've had has been pudding with whipped cream for 1 pt (almost every day actually). I don't let myself get hungry, but I have been eating below my daily pts (typically 21-30 out of the 33 I'm "supposed" to eat). And I drink tons of water now, like 100 ounces a day.

I worked out every day this week, doing the elliptical for an hour (sometimes even more), and then also some workout DVDs as well. Some days I also lifted 5 lbs weights while watching TV.

So far I've lost 7.7 lbs in February. My goal was 10 lbs. That means next week, I need to lose 2.3. I think that's doable.

But I have another goal, which is to be 199 by my birthday in 2 weeks. That's 6 lbs in the next two weeks. Do you think this doable? If you check out my weigh in page, you'll see that I've done it before, but what more am I supposed to do to pull a high weight loss number?

Starting today, I am going to take fish oil supplements, which a cool new blogger, The Total Player, recommended. I'll let you know how that works in the coming weeks. I will continue eating about the same, just focusing on healthy foods. And maybe I will up my workouts to a workout DVD and an hour on the elliptical every day. Or maybe even 90 mins on the elliptical. Ugh. Anything else you guys can think of?

That's GREAT! What a fantastic loss! Good job!

As for your two-week goal: I say GO FOR IT. You'll have to step up your game...maybe add more time working out. Maybe if you did your full points allotment for one week and then bump it down the next? I dunno. But...yea...I think it's doable! You'll just have to focus on that goal, lock it in, and WANT IT. I think, if you do that, you'll hit your goal and be in Onederland.

I am STOKED for you. I know that I'm doing roughly 2 lbs a week...I think you can, too! Just stay focused. Oh, and if, by some strange act of god it doesn't happen, DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP. It's the smalllllll goals that lead to the big payoff by keeping you focused and trying. :)

Hey, thanks for coming by my blog, and congrats on being so close to the ONEs!

I wanted to respond to your question because I'm afraid I might have given the wrong impression. I lost 7 lbs last week, and 1 lb this week. The reason my numbers were so high last week is because I had ate crappy the week before so some of it was sodium bloat and the easy weight that comes off when you get back on track. At my weight, I usually only lose about 2-3 lbs per week :)

Great job!! Thank you for pointing out something to me that was so simple but had slipped my mind!!

Keep up the great work and I'm sure you will meet your birthday goal. 90min on the eliptical must be killer boring though...have you tried other equipment? But hey if you can do 90min on there good for you!! whatever works go with it.

Great job on the scales last week. If you keep going at this pace, I think you can reach that birthday goal! Cheers, Rick

Sometimes I do 90 minutes on the elliptical if I want to get in an extra workout - I'll just treat myself to a movie while I do it. More often than not I get so focused on the movie that I forget I'm even working out! I find that this strategy works better for the slower/higher resistance sessions than fast paced or intervals.

Also...We BOTH will be in onederland in two weeks. If you think...you will be it....

Hi - My trainer at the gym told me not just to do time on equipment but to go up a level and down again every 5 - 10 minutes as this makes the effect last longer after you finish training meaning you burn more for the time you train..its called interval training but maybe you're already doing this?
I'm sure its doable and how great its going to feel when you do.
Good Luck

Reading your post made me think of how I sometimes get so impatient- wanting to be skinny NOW. You're doing really well, keep it er...down. ;-)

As far as the exercise, I like the elliptical the best, though nowadays the main thing I have time for is walking outside during my lunch break...

Woot! You are doing so well. Very inspiring. Your goals are doable and the thing is if you don't make it that week, you will the next. It's just fun to set goals an see how you can do (and hopefully the body will agree). Try intervals for a jump to your fitness routine.

Great job on the loss! I think you can make your goals!

A couple of people in my meeting say that they use their extra weekly points right at the beginning of their week and it kicks your metabolism into high gear and can help the weekly loss.

You are doing great! Congrats on the loss!
I hope you are in Onderland in no time!

Great job on the loss. Re: your goals - sometimes your body will do whatever it wants to do. I know you will work as hard as you can, and hopefully it pays off!! :) Good luck!!

DOABLE!!!!

totally doable! I would focus less on length of time doing cardio and more on increasing the intensity of your cardio. So, an hour on the elliptical with a higher incline and resistance vs just staying on the elliptical for 90 minutes. good luck!!!
