Friday Weigh Day

Friday is my new WI day... and I wish I had better news to report, but I gained 1.3 lbs. I weigh 176.8.

Hey, the scale doesn't lie! So it is what it is, but next week will be better.

This week, I worked out 4 days on the elliptical and did some weight lifting. However, I have been lacking motivation and discipline with the food part of it all. I haven't been counting or really caring to be honest. I have not been going overboard or eating super bad things at all, but I just haven't been making the best choices that I know I need to make in order to lose weight. Such as drinking wine, snacking on too many Wheat Thins, making grill cheese sandwiches with full carb bread, etc.

Next week I will go back to writing everything down and counting out points because that is what keeps me honest and mindful of exactly what I am consuming and it's what works for me. And I'll keep working out of course. I also haven't been drinking much water at all, so I'll be doing that too.

Worst Weigh In Ever

Since I started losing weight, this is the very worst week I have had. No other weigh in comes close to being as bad as this week.
I'm ashamed to say that today, I weigh 183.9, which is a 4 lb gain since Sunday. However, I weighed 177.5 on Thursday, so really in my mind, it is a 6.4 lb gain. All because of 3 days of  no working out and eating HORRIBLE.

If you didn't read yesterday's blog and would like more of an explanation as to why the heck I gained so much this week, check out yesterday's post. :/

Why couldn't I just have focused on my weight rather than throwing all caution to the wind?

I am so pissed at myself for doing this. This week is going to make up for those bad days. I think I'm going to have a no carb week. Usually banning foods makes me want them more, but I'm so upset at this gain that I don't even care. And working out of course. I wonder if I can lose 4 lbs this week. Wouldn't that be nice?

Attitude of Gratitude: I will get back on track. I have all the tools and know what to do, and I will do it.

Weigh In

I now weigh 179.9, so this week I lost 1.1 lbs.

Which means... I am out of the 180's! And I have officially lost 70 lbs. Victory! It is so good to see a 1-7-something on the scale, even if it is only by 0.1. Onward and downward.

Today hasn't been a great eating day. Do you guys ever eat poorly on your WI day since it's the beginning of the week? Yeah, kind of stupid rationalization, I know. I'm emotional eating today. But you know what's weird; it's that I know what I'm doing so it isn't really working. Like I still feel emotional and shitty and sad and unhappy right now. And now there's just the added feeling of feeling full and guilty. And I didn't work out. Boo.

Attitude of Gratitude: My mom treated me and my sister to a pedicure yesterday, so at least my toes are pretty.

This week's Weigh In

This week I lost 2.2 lbs, making my weight 181.0.

I'm proud of that because that included going away for the weekend and eating foods that I normally don't and having a couple drinks, but everything in moderation. I'm happy I can continue this new lifestyle no matter where I am or what I'm doing.

The week's workouts included one run/ walk, a workout DVD and the old standby; the elliptical.

I'm definitely not going to meet this month's goal of losing 10 lbs, but I have stayed on track and made a conscious effort all month, so I'm not going to get down about it.
Attitude of Gratitude: All I have to do is lose 1 more lb and I will have lost 70 lbs!

Weigh In

This week, I lost 1.5 lbs, bringing me to 183.2. Not bad. I'm happy with that. I miss my regular 2lb loss weeks, but maybe I just need to work a little harder at this stage of the game.

As far as that cake... I did have some, but you really have to see it to believe it...

Attitude of Gratitude: Good weekend with a loss. Not too shabby.

Weigh In

For the first half of the week, I weighed 187 every. single. day. And was getting mega frustrated. Especially after having a gain last week, and then to gain even more. I wasn't a happy camper because I was doing everything right.

Then on Wednesday and Thursday, I did the all protein Dukan diet and dropped a couple pounds thankfully. Friday and Saturday were back to normal eating days- healthy, but not overly strict.

My workouts this week were also shorter, and included weight training. I will write about what I've been doing exercise-wise soon. I think adding weights and being consistent about that will be good.

Anyway, this week I lost 1.8 lbs! Yay! Bringing me to 184.7.

This next week, I will be eating healthy, writing down what I eat, staying within my points, and working out.

Atitude of Gratitude: Onward and downward!

Weigh In

This week has been frustrating since the scale hasn't moved at all- or I should say, the scale hasn't moved down at all. I gained .2 lbs this week. I hate having a gain when I have been being good. If I had cheated and/or didn't work out, I'd be totally fine with a small gain. Because it would have been justified. I am usually a believer that the scale doesn't lie. But this week, I just don't know.

What I do know is that I did have some M&Ms earlier in the week, but even so, I don't think I went over my points for the day. Also yesterday, I went out to lunch and had a roast beef manhattan without the mashed potatoes and only ate half, but it was still a "bad" meal.

I have also stopped tracking and writing down what I eat because on the whole, I typically eat well and haven't been overeating. But now that I've gained, I will go back to tracking.

I'm very conflicted on the workout front. This week, I've done the elliptical, a workout DVD, running outside, lifted weights... so you would think that is varied enough for my body not to get bored or used to it.

Goals for this week- Strict eating, tracking points. Work out every day, do C25k, but maybe make the workouts shorter and more intense.

Attitude of Gratitude: I fit into a pair of size 12 jeans that I haven't worn since college and they actually look good.

Weigh In

So this whole week, the scale has hardly been moving at all. I was getting so frustrated because if I'm eating right and working out, especially if that working out involves running (which I hate), then I better be getting some results from it.

And I did! I lost 2 lbs this week, putting me at 186.3.

I'll do a little April wrap up post later today or tomorrow. I definitely met my goal, so yay for that!

What should my goal weight loss for May be?

Weigh in and a confession

Today's weigh in- 188.3, which is a loss of 1.3 lbs from last Sunday. I'm happy with this especially since I lost 4.6 last week.

Thursday I weighed 187.8, so I did go up since then. So as for my confession.. I gave in yesterday and drank with my family. They always do (probably too much) and lately I don't at all. I just don't want the empty calories. But I did yesterday, and to be honest, I had close to a whole bottle of wine. Bad, I know... I hate to admit it but I gotta be honest with you guys.

So overall it's a good weigh in, but I do feel like it could have been better if I hadn't messed up yesterday.

The plan for this week is to stay on course with eating well and to keep up my workouts but also add in the running again. This past week was cold and rainy so I didn't run once. But this week should be better so I for sure will. This will be week 2 of the C25k plan. And hopefully that'll let me kick ass for my weigh in next week!

Attitude of Gratitude: It's been a nice Easter weekend with the family. Happy Easter everyone!

Extremely happy weigh in

I am excited to tell you all that I lost 4.6 lbs this week! What!? I haven't lost that much since I kinda first started so I am very happy.

I do this thing sometimes when I step on the scale. I close my eyes and think of some lower number than was on the scale the previous day. So today, I stepped on and was like like, "190 point something..." (I'm such a dork, I know.) But it was even better than that...

I weigh 189.6! No more 190s! That was pretty fast too. Definitely going to meet my goal this month!

So what was different about this week? First, I started running, which was sucky, but obviously it is working so I will definitely keep going. And I also didn't really track my food. I ate well, but didn't write it down or count it. Sometimes, I would count it out in my head just to double check, but I think I might eat less if I'm not focused on eating a certain (WW pts) number in a day.

Attitude of Gratitude: 4.6! 'Nuff said!

Sunday Weigh Day

This week I lost 2.5 lbs! Now I am 194.2. Yay!

I am sooo glad I am back to a routine and back to losing at least 2 lbs a week. Hopefully I can keep it up!

Anyone else do a happy scale dance when you see lower numbers on the scale?

I have 20 more days to lose 5 more lbs to reach my goal for April. Piece of cake... well, more like piece of fruit or something. Is it me or does this seem like a long month?

I think I might post before and now pictures soon. Anyone interested?

Weigh In

This week, I lost 2.4 lbs! Yay!

I hope I can get back to losing 2+ lbs a week for the rest of this month so I can meet my April goal of 10 lbs.

As far as my date.. the guy had to go visit family and came back too late, so he wants to do it tomorrow. I'll probably say that's fine. Gotta love dating!

This is a half-assed post... I'm feeling eh. I'll write more tomorrow :)

Attitude of Gratitude: My family come home this weekend and we all had a fun time, which actually made the no-date thing kinda convenient.

Another week, another Weigh In

This week, since last Sunday, I lost 2 lbs. I'm 199.1. Yay for under 200!

I was a little eh about it sinced last Monday the scale showed 198.6 so I gained from there. I don't know, I'm confused. But still happy.

From Thursday to last night, I was out of town for my grandma's funeral, so I didn't eat so well. I didn't go crazy, but I didn't track anything and didn't really think about it.

But I am back now and back on track! There are no distractions coming up so I will be 100% gung ho and on plan! And now I'm going to get caught up on all of your blogs :)

Attitude of Gratitude: I saw a lot of family members this weekend that told me I looked really good and were asking what I was doing. It's always nice when people notice and to get compliments!

Back home & Weighed in

Thank you everyone who has been thinking of me this past week. I don't want to get into it too much, but I will say that my grandma passed away this week. Obviously, it's really difficult for our family. She was an amazing person, so funny and spunky and caring and lovable.

This past week was busy. We spent a lot of time in the hospital. I brought workout clothes, but didn't work out once. Go me, I know. I also ate pretty bad; lots of fast food meals, restaurant meals, bagels, donuts, muffins, cookies, ice cream, mini chocolates, jelly beans. Oh well, life happens. Actually, I didn't eat like I probably would have in the past. I ate very poorly many times, but like, I only had one donut for breakfast instead of 2-3 and I had 2 pieces of pizza instead of 4, that kinda thing.

So today I weighed myself and fully expected a gain, but am 201.1, which means I lost 0.4 lbs. How I didn't gain anything with the way I've been eating (and not working out) is beyond me. This will be a healthy week, altho we are going back for her funeral this weekend for four days. Hoping I can continue to lose this week.

Attitude of Gratitude: Our family has been lucky to have someone in our lives who makes saying goodbye to so hard.

Weigh Day

Road trip went well. Thanks for all your tips. I snacked on grapes in the car, had a Smart Ones breakfast at home and Subway for lunch. Dinner was chicken and asparagus, but I did have about 3 vodka drinks last night (with Crystal Lite, which is 0 cals, still a bad move tho). No more!

I weighed in yesterday morning before leaving for the good ole road trip because my grandma has a scale that apparently subtracts 10 lbs off what you really weigh because it's from like, 1950. While I'd love to just use that and say I lost 10 lbs this week, it's probably better not to fool myself!

So... I lost 2.0 lbs this week, putting me at 201.5. I'm ok with that. It looks like I'm a steady 2 lbs loss type of person these days if i work out and eat well.

Do you think I can still lose 10 lbs this month?

Not So Great Weigh Day

I gained 0.2 lbs this week. I expected a gain since I kind of took the weekend off. I didn't go overboard or anything, but I did have high calorie foods.. stuff I never have when on a diet. It was also my TOM so let's throw that excuse in there.

Friday I had pizza, cheesesticks, cookie cake and a couple drinks. I was full at the end of the night, especially from the drinks and I didn't like it. It felt wrong or something, like how I used to feel before when I didn't care about my weight.

Yesterday, I didn't eat too bad, other than having more cookie cake and having steak and sweet potato fries for dinner. I didn't drink and I ate in moderation. Well, I guess I did have a little too much of the cookie cake.

So then today, for my WI, I have to be honest, when I got on the scale this morning, it said 205.0. I knew I wasn't going to lose after eating poorly for 2 days and weighing in right after, but I was surprisingly really upset/ pissed/ frustrated by that number being so high. So I got up and worked out on the elliptical, showered, and stepped on the scale again just to double check, and it said 203.5. I got on and off like 3 times just to make sure and the number stayed, so that's the one I'm going with.

I learned a couple things this weekend that I'm happy about. 1) I don't enjoy eating past the point of being full. It makes me feel gross. 2) I love the feeling of losing weight at the end of the week. Even tho I was prepared for it, I don't like seeing a higher number come back on the scale.

Attitude of Gratitude: I ate what I wanted and what I've been craving, and learned that I am much more concerned with consistently losing weight than I am with eating anything that's going to keep me from doing that.

Surprising Sunday Weigh Day

All week I was worried that I wasn't losing, especially the other day when I thought I gained. But then today, I get on the scale and it says 203.3 lbs. So I lost 2.4 this week. I'm very happy with that. It means I lost 10.1 lbs so far this month and have made my goal of losing 10 in February! Check!

Last night, I went out to dinner with the family and ordered salmon, steamed vegetables, and a baked potato (that I only picked at). I also had a salad with Italian dressing and one piece of bread. I didn't feel deprived at all and felt good keeping it healthy. I kind of wanted to order the fillet mignon that my mom got (which I had a bite of, and was so good), but the salmon was good too. Also, I didn't drink at all even tho everyone else did.

Today, my sister wanted to go to the Mexican restaurant, but I said I didn't want to. I said I just didn't want to not be able to have chips and feel guilty for whatever I ate, but that they should go anyway. My dad ended up having some leftovers from the fridge and said he wasn't hungry and didn't want to go, so they didn't. I have a feeling if I hadn't said I didn't want to go, we would have, so I kind of felt bad, but hey, I only control myself.

For this next week, my goal is to lose 3.4 lbs to put my weight at 199.9. I'm almost down 50 lbs! I plan on eating extremely healthy and working out every day.

Attitude of Gratitude: I have self-control! I can make good food decisions even when tempted. Why? Because my goal is more important than any piece of food.

Sunday Weigh Day

I lost 2.2 lbs this week, bringing me to 205.7.

I've been doing "good" this week. I've had a lot of fruits and veggies and lean protein. The only indulgence type thing I've had has been pudding with whipped cream for 1 pt (almost every day actually). I don't let myself get hungry, but I have been eating below my daily pts (typically 21-30 out of the 33 I'm "supposed" to eat). And I drink tons of water now, like 100 ounces a day.

I worked out every day this week, doing the elliptical for an hour (sometimes even more), and then also some workout DVDs as well. Some days I also lifted 5 lbs weights while watching TV.

So far I've lost 7.7 lbs in February. My goal was 10 lbs. That means next week, I need to lose 2.3. I think that's doable.

But I have another goal, which is to be 199 by my birthday in 2 weeks. That's 6 lbs in the next two weeks. Do you think this doable? If you check out my weigh in page, you'll see that I've done it before, but what more am I supposed to do to pull a high weight loss number?

Starting today, I am going to take fish oil supplements, which a cool new blogger, The Total Player, recommended. I'll let you know how that works in the coming weeks. I will continue eating about the same, just focusing on healthy foods. And maybe I will up my workouts to a workout DVD and an hour on the elliptical every day. Or maybe even 90 mins on the elliptical. Ugh. Anything else you guys can think of?

Sunday Weigh Day

This week I lost 2.2 lbs, putting me at 207.9. I'm  happy with that; it's been a long while since I've been a 2-0-something. I can't wait til I'm in the 100's!!

I have to admit tho that I'm wondering why I lost 3.3 last week and then 2.2 this week. I did the same amount of workouts and ate within my points. And I've been drinking water like a fish! I guess sometimes it's just random.
I'm noticing a difference in my body which is so nice. Certain clothes fit way looser. I'm easily wearing a size 16 now and have officially retired my size 18 jeans, altho some size 18 pants still fit. (I basically have jeans in all sizes from 10 to 20... crazy, I know...) And I'm losing back fat! Lol so yay for that!

Just gunna keep pluggin away!

Happy Sunday Weigh Day

Since when do I look forward to weighing myself? Since I got my head in the game and started getting results!

I lost 3.3 lbs this week!

I worked out 6 days this week and stayed within my daily points, other than using 13 weekly points last Sunday. If you have to splurge on points, I guess it's better to do it at the beginning of the week rather than right before weigh day. Why I chose Sunday to be my weigh day, right after the weekend, is beyond me, but I've been on my own lately so there have been no temptations.

So obviously I am happy with my loss for the week. My goal for the month is 10 lbs, so it looks like I will (hopefully!!) be able to do it. Blogging has helped me keep my focus on it too, so I appreciate my followers and people who comment!
