Fair food... uh oh..

I went to a fair type thing yesterday. I had a good time, but I have to admit that the food got the better of me...

I had a gyro, which was so not worth the calories. I barely ate the pita but I'm sure the dressing stuff was atrociously caloric. (Lol... that'll be my new catch phrase- "that's atrociously caloric")

And french fries... I had been cravings those.

I also had ice cream...

And a deep fried Oreo.
I did my best to look up the calories  in a gyro (around 600) and the Oreo (surprisingly it said only around 100). It was a lot and not my best move, but I suppose it could have been worse.

But the good news is that my sister and I went to the pool afterwards and I did lots of laps and got my heart rate up, so hopefully I burned some it off.

If you are craving something you should have it. Now it's out of your system and you can move on. Today will be a better day. Good that you got some exercise in after your fair food.

I have never heard of a deep-fried Oreo before. Clearly I am not hanging out with the right crowd, haha! Good on you for going swimming. :)

I had my first deep fried Oreo last weekend at the Ky State Fair. It's heaven in a bowl...

I thought that's what fairs are for? The bad food? There's stuff I won't cook myself, and won't get anywehre but at the annual fair. And I enjoy it every single time. Too bad I am too broke to go to the big regional fair this fall (it's next week). SIGH!

Maybe I should make an exception and fry some fish to go with garlic dip at home?
