Weigh In

So this whole week, the scale has hardly been moving at all. I was getting so frustrated because if I'm eating right and working out, especially if that working out involves running (which I hate), then I better be getting some results from it.

And I did! I lost 2 lbs this week, putting me at 186.3.

I'll do a little April wrap up post later today or tomorrow. I definitely met my goal, so yay for that!

What should my goal weight loss for May be?

That's a very personal decision. Lots of things to consider. As we get closer to goal, the rate of loss usually slows down a bit. I am happy with a pound a week. You may feel like 10 pounds a month is desirable. Sometimes we set ourselves up for disappointment if we get too ambitious but we also want to be challenged. Some people prefer goals that are not weight related because the weight will come off if you get the water in, exercise 3 - 5 times a week, stay with your eating plan, track your food - you know the things that make for a successful month. Regardless - just do it. I don't wish people good luck because we both know luck has nothing to do with it.

Yay you!!! Keep in mind, weight loss isn't the only measure of a successful month. Perhaps you could look at other ways to measure as well, such as body measurements? I don't know, just a suggestion. Keep it up!!

Yay! Awesome stuff! I find that when I am just about ready to pull my hair out because of a mini-plateau, one or two lbs will suddenly drop off. Congrats on not letting the frustration derail you! :)

I think you're doing brilliantly...I'm not sure what is a reasonable goal after all we are all so very different but I think you just have to keep on doing all the right things and the numbers will take care of themselves.
Well done, you've done brilliantly so far
